Google Tracking in the DACH region

Knowing what your Google activities really deliver

Without clean tracking you optimise Google Ads and SEO on incomplete data. We set your Google tracking up so that you see what actually happens: reliably, GDPR-compliant and without data lost to ad blockers

What you get when your Google tracking is right

  • 01

    Complete conversion data

No gaps from ad blockers or browser restrictions. You see which campaign, which keyword and which ad triggered an inquiry.

  • 02

    Better campaign optimisation

Google Ads Smart Bidding only works as well as the data it gets. Clean tracking means better decisions by the algorithm and lower cost per inquiry.

  • 03

    GDPR-compliant implementation

No tracking that fires before the user has given consent. We build your setup so that it is legally sound and still delivers reliable data.

  • 04

Insight into the whole customer journey

Which pages someone visits before an inquiry. Where visitors drop off. What happens between the first click and getting in touch. The tracking makes it visible.

What Google Tracking means for businesses in the DACH region

Google Tracking describes recording user behaviour and conversion events through Google tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking in Google Ads. For businesses that invest in Google channels, clean tracking is the precondition for optimisation being possible at all.

The problem that affects many businesses is data lost to browser restrictions and ad blockers. Modern browsers such as Safari increasingly block client-side tracking. Ad blockers stop tags from firing. The result is conversion data that records only part of the actual events and therefore distorts optimisation decisions.

Server-side tracking is the technical answer to this problem. Instead of sending data directly from the user's browser to Google, it runs through your own server first. That reduces data loss, improves the quality of the signals for Smart Bidding and is friendlier to GDPR at the same time, because you keep control over which data is actually passed on.

In the DACH region, GDPR compliance in tracking is not optional. Tracking tags that fire before a user has given consent are illegal. A correct consent management setup that works together with the tracking is a duty and at the same time a technical challenge that many businesses underestimate.

Who we are

We build tracking setups that measure what really happens

We regularly see Google Ads accounts that are optimised on the basis of distorted data. Tags that fire twice. Conversions attributed wrongly. Consent setups that are legally problematic. These are not small details but foundations that have to be right for everything else to work.

No one-size-fits-all, no standard packages. Only what really suits your business.

Vorarlberg is our home. The DACH region is our market.

Frequently asked questions about Google Tracking

I have already installed Google Analytics. Is that not enough?

An installed GA4 does not yet mean the data is right. We look at whether the right events are tracked, whether consent is integrated correctly and whether the data is reliable.

What is the difference between Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics?

Google Tag Manager is the administration system for all tracking tags on your website. Google Analytics is one of the tools that is brought in through the Tag Manager. Both need each other for a clean setup.

Do I need server-side tracking?

That depends on your budget, your traffic volume and your requirements. We tell you honestly whether server-side tracking makes a relevant difference for you.

Do I really lose that much data to ad blockers?

With classic client-side tracking, yes. Depending on the target audience and the sector, 20 to 40 per cent of the conversion data can be lost. Server-side tracking reduces that loss considerably.

Do you only work in Vorarlberg?

No. We work with clients across the DACH region. Vorarlberg is our home, the rest is our market.
